Fun things, and events!

Dominic drove all over the United States. Obtaining various relics. Some, in better shape than others! The exciting one, was the Ebay auction, for a Liberty 12 in Northern California. The bidding war began, and at one moment, we thought we lost the bidding. As the smoke cleared, we were victorious! Dominic loaded up the 1995 tired Dodge...and headed out! We sure could use a new truck. I'm in the process of convincing him, we need a mini business class Freightliner ;)

They had to cut the back end, of a barn off to remove the engine! I think that qualifies it as a "true barn find" The Liberty had been resting there since 1967. The owner of the Liberty purchased in in 1955, from a scrap vendor in Southern California. The fellow is a true collector. He had all kinds of cool collectible engines. He had a Hicks Marine, and a San Francisco aka "Frisco Standard" Dominic called, and was in full hunt and gather mode as he toured the property-where the Liberty engine came from. The guy had ten 40 foot Con Ex boxes filled to the brim! He hauled the engine home, driving the entire 875 miles in one day. That man ;) he is determined. Scroll down to see snapshots, and a short video.

I laughed, as the hand crank was a cute novelty. What a smoke monster! It clearly needs an overhaul. We were amazied, with basic clean up that she runs!
